Coming off the heels of a big 2018, Pusha T kicks off his 2019 by giving back to the community. What he hopes to give back are clothes straight outta his closet.
2018 was something of a breakout year for Pusha T. That is not to say that the rapper was not already a hot commodity in the mainstream music industry last year. After all, the man is the Grammy nominater writer behind the famous McDonald’s jingle, as well as the President of the prestigious G.O.O.D. Music record label.
With that said, his rivalry with Drake that exposed the existence of the OVO founder’s secret young child did a lot to introduce new audiences to King Push and his music. Not to mention, considering that the feud took place just as he released his Daytona album, the new exposure likely played a big part in Push receiving a Best Rap Album nomination at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards.
Regardless what you call it, one cannot deny that Pusha T had a big year in 2018. In 2019, he decided to kick the year off by giving back to his community. Pusha’s way to give back was to open his closet up to the public.
Ever since noon on Feb. 5, Pusha T has been selling his personal clothing items on internet marketplace website, Grailed, in what is being promoted as “Pusha’s Purge.” Items that Pusha is selling include rare Balenciaga streetwear, mainstream brands like Bape and a whole heap of adidas shoes. Pusha’s entire Purge is actually filled with a wide assortment of shoes that any sneakerhead would do anything to have.
Thankfully, in this case at least, all you need to do is head over to Grailed and buy the items, which sell at fairly reasonable prices. If you miss this sale, Pusha will release another edition of his sale on Feb. 14, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
