Angel Reese’s play on the court as of late makes it seem like her ability has no ceiling, and the same can be said for her stardom off the court after a couple of recent announcements. Or on Wednesday when Reese and Reebok unveiled her first signature shoe, but that was just the start of the announcements. Shortly after, Reese was announced as the cover star for the WNBA edition of 2K26.
The video game company unveiled her cover, showing Reese in the Chicago Sky’s Explorer uniform, which is a black uniform with sky blue pinstripes. On the cover, Reese was also donning the signature shoes she just announced as well.

Angel Reese announced as cover star for 2K26 WNBA Edition
Reese is currently in the middle of another historic season, averaging 13.2 points per game, a league-leading 12.9 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game.
She’s also been a disruptor on defense, with 1.6 steals per game. The impressive numbers recently earned Reese her second selection to the WNBA All-Star game in as many seasons.
While this is her first time on the cover of a video game, the second-year WNBA star isn’t a stranger to being a cover star.
In her young career, Reese has already graced the cover of magazines like Vogue, Sports Illustrated, Women’s Health, SLAM, and Wonderland. She was also on the cover of Reese’s Puffs cereal box.

While Reese is the lone cover star for NBA 2K26’s WNBA edition, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will be on the cover of the standard edition of the game, and Reese’s fellow Baltimore native, Carmelo Anthony, will be on the cover of the Superstar edition.
There will also be a Leave No Doubt edition of the game, with all three cover stars sharing one cover.
While an official release date for the game hasn’t been announced yet, it is available for preorder, with an expected arrival date sometime in September.
