Phoenix Suns All-Star Devin Booker just became the highest-paid player in NBA history on an annual basis. But off the court, the Kentucky alum may be taking an L.
The Suns' star inked a two-year, $145 million max extension that adds to his remaining deal, bringing the total to $316 million through 2030. Starting in 2028, he’ll average $75 million per season—a figure that breaks league records and puts Booker alone atop the financial mountain peak.
But as his financial portfolio explodes, his on-and-off relationship with Kendall Jenner seems to have finally fizzled out.
“They have been off and on for years now and have called it quits recently,” a source close to the couple recently told US Weekly. “It always comes down to them both being busy, navigating schedules and just not being on the same page. They have communication issues.”
Phoenix Suns All-Star Devin Booker and Kendall Jenner call it quits (again)
Neither Booker nor Jenner has commented publicly on the latest split, but Kendall has made her stance on privacy clear. Back in a 2019 interview with Vogue Australia, she said, “A relationship is only meant to be between two people and the second you make it the world’s business is when it starts messing with the two people mentally.”
The two first went public in 2020 and split in 2022, with Jenner spending the next year dating Latin music star Bad Bunny. They then found themselves back together in February of 2024, but have called it quits again in 2025.
But as with many celebrity romances, the door has never felt completely shut. They’ve reconciled before—and the possibility remains that this is just another pause, not a final buzzer.
Still, while Booker’s personal life may be in flux, his career trajectory is anything but. He’s the face of the Suns, the face of Nike Basketball, and now the face of generational wealth in the NBA.
As for love? That part of the game is in progress.
