Even in death, Nipsey Hussle manages to illuminate over the sneaker community as Puma were oh so gracious enough to plan more sneakers lines for the late rapper.
Some readers may recall that last summer, Nipsey Hussle received his own special colorway – the “Victory Lap” – sneaker for the Air Jordan 3 as courtesy from Nike. A lot has changed and happened since that summer. Namely that Nipsey is no longer with us, unfortunately. Thankfully, the marathon and its victory lap continues as the sneaker world – and quite frankly, the world in general – is not ready to let go of Nipsey Hussle just yet.
This is especially the case with the sophisticated and always high profile Puma brand, who have promised in a Wall Street Journal entry recently that they have plans in store to release even more sneaker collaborations that are related to the late, great Nipsey Hussle. The word came straight from the mouth of Puma’s global director of brand and marketing, Adam Petrick. Petrick disclosed that he and Puma want to release more Nipsey sneaker collabs in order “to support some of the activations that he was doing in L.A. was great.”
Prior to his murder, Nipsey had a lot of plans in the work with Puma to release more sneakers and sneaker related content with the brand. Now that he is gone, Puma hope to continue working closely with the Nipsey Hussle estate in order to make sure that those aforementioned plans wind up seeing the light of day. One of those plans featured The Marathon Collection with Puma, which some readers may remember got unveiled back in March with an expected fall 2019 release date on the announcement. Keep your eyes peeled for that collection in a few months.
