Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow entered the league in 2020 as the number one overall pick in that year's draft, and by his second year in the league, he was a rising star. Burrow helped lead the Bengals to a Super Bowl appearance in the 2021 season and soon became a favorite of not just Bengals fans but NFL (and non-NFL) fans as well.

Not only has Burrow's play on the field caught people's attention, but his personality off the field has been hard to miss. From his eccentric wardrobe to the new hairstyles he tries out every year, it's hard not to find Burrow entertaining.

Let's take a trip through time and look back at some of Burrow's hairstyles throughout the years.

Every hairstyle of Joe Burrow during his NFL career with the Cincinnati Bengals

Classic cut

Even though Burrow has switched his look up since entering the league, when most people think of him, the hairstyle that comes to mind is the classic cut he sported early on. He had this hairstyle while winning a championship at LSU and kept it during his early seasons with the Bengals.

Burrow also sported this look during Super Bowl LVI, which was the Bengals' first time in the big game since 1989. Burrow's Bengals, unfortunately, didn't win the game, but the hairstyle was the least of the concerns by the time that game was in the record books.

Classic cut (but a little shaggier)

Burrow has stayed close to his original look, but sometimes he's shown that he likes to grow out the locks a bit. It's still very similar to the original style but just a bit shaggier.

Needs a headband cut

During the 2023 offseason was when Burrow started to really mix up his hairstyle a bit more, growing it out to the point that he needed a headband to really complete the look. He even labeled himself as "Dark Knight", an homage to Batman when revealing the look on Instagram in June 2023.

Eminem/bleach blonde cut

After going back to his original style during the 2024 offseason, Burrow really took things to the next level that summer. Gone was the classic style and longer hair Burrow had rocked as he buzzed his hair and bleached it as blonde as it could be, making him look like Eminem.

Burrow's reasoning for sporting this particular hairstyle is that he and teammate B.J. Hill both said they'd do it. The quarterback even said at the time that he was thinking he'd grow it out and try out some frosted tips for his next look, which brings us to...

Frosted tips/90s boy band cut

Burrow didn't stick with the Eminem look for long, and by the time the NFL regular season had gotten underway in 2024, he was going for the 90s boy band look with frosted tips. Burrow ditched this look pretty early on, and the online joking stemmed around him ditching it because his squad started off 0-3, so clearly it was a "cursed" hairstyle for the Bengals signal-caller.

Burrow's given fans plenty to talk about on and off the field, and surely he'll give us another hairstyle that will keep us talking.

What's next for Joey B, cut-wise? Mohawk? Mullet? Long, long locks? We'll have to see what direction he goes in.
