What goes better together than football and fashion?

Joe Burrow is a man of many talents. The star quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals entered the NFL in 2020 as the first overall pick and immediately turned the Bengals from a bottom-feeder team to a Super Bowl contender, even leading his squad to a Super Bowl appearance in his second year at the helm.

Something else Burrow has become known for during his NFL career is his fashion sense. While some people might not understand all of Burrow's looks, he's shown off his unique sense of style, doing so while arriving at stadiums for big games or even at fashion events.

There have been plenty of moments where Burrow's wardrobe has had people talking, and narrowing it down to just five was tough.

That being said, let's take a trip down Burrowhead Lane and see what outfits stood out above the rest.

Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow proved he’s the NFL’s style king with these 5 fits

It feels like the birth of "Joe Cool" was during the 2021 AFC Championship Game when Burrow and his underdog Bengals went into Arrowhead Stadium to take on the heavily favored Kansas City Chiefs, who had been to the previous two Super Bowls.

A trip to the big game was on the line, and Burrow seemed completely unfazed by the situation.

As he arrived at Arrowhead Stadium for the first time in his career, Burrow donned a black turtleneck under a puffy gray jacket with a gold necklace that said "JB9" (Joe Burrow wears No. 9 on the field).

It was the look of legends, and turns out, that's exactly when Burrow became a legend, as he and the Bengals went into Arrowhead and stunned the Chiefs in overtime, advancing to the Super Bowl for the first time since the 1988 season.

Grey tiger striped suit from Super Bowl LVI

The Bengals had not been to a Super Bowl since 1989, so this was not a moment that anyone was taking lightly.

Burrow understood the assignment when he showed up to SoFi Stadium in a grey tiger-striped suit, which showed off his Bengals (and LSU Tigers) pride.

The social media team wisely captioned this look "Super Shiesty" since Burrow is often referred to as "Joe Shiesty" as well. While the fit was beyond clean, the tiger-striped suit didn't help Burrow and his Bengals on the field, as they narrowly lost the Super Bowl to the Los Angeles Rams.

Floral suit from Week 4 of 2022 season

As the Bengals hoped to work their way back to a .500 record in Week 4 of the 2022 season, Burrow continued to show off his fashion chops. The star quarterback arrived at Cincinnati's Thursday night home tilt against the Miami Dolphins sporting a snazzy floral suit.

The Bengals' social media team had the perfect caption for this look, noting, "May we please have a moment of silence for the fit".

Some people might not have understood this look, but for Burrow, it was the perfect outfit choice for a big primetime game. And, hey, it worked -- The Bengals won this game by double-digit points and moved to 2-2 on the year.

Burrow and the Bengals managed to make it to their second straight AFC Championship in the 2022 season, and for two years in a row, it'd be them trying to take down the Chiefs again. Burrow was not afraid of what was at stake, considering he'd been in this exact situation the previous year and came out victorious.

That's why his fit choice for this game couldn't have been more perfect. Burrow showed up to Arrowhead Stadium in a matching pink denim jacket and pants with a shirt underneath that had a pink bear on it that said "Sorry". The bear was also holding a red tag that read "Sorry in Advance".

Unfortunately for Burrow, while the outfit choice was great, he and his Bengals ended up being the sorry ones, as they lost to the Chiefs in the rematch.

Burrow is used to appearing on big football stages, but in the summer of 2024, he took it another step further and strutted his stuff on the catwalk in Paris. Burrow walked the runway with his former LSU teammate (and Minnesota Vikings wide receiver) Justin Jefferson in a backless suit.

It might take people some time to get on board with this look but if the backless suits ever take off, Burrow can be credited for making it happen.

Honorable Mention

Boo hoodie from Week 8 of 2022 season

With the Bengals playing on Halloween during Week 8 of the 2022 season, it made sense that Burrow would try to scare people a little bit.

He showed up to the Bengals' Monday night match-up against the Cleveland Browns in a white and orange bomber jacket but the more important part of the outfit was the hoodie he wore underneath that simply read "BOO".

Unfortunately, the only booing in that game was directed at the Bengals, as they were blown out 32-13. Ouch.
