For anyone hoping to snag a pair of Caitlin Clark's Kobe V Protro and didn't do so immediately, you'll have to wait until they hit the market again. The shoes sold out in minutes after going on sale Monday morning.
According to Nike's official website, the shoe is "outfitted in Midnight Navy, Bright Crimson, vibrant hits of University Gold, and polished off with a high-gloss finish that glistens under the spotlight." It does look pretty dang suave with the midnight navy outline and hints of orange and gold so that, paired with the popularity, doesn't make it surprising that the shoes sold out almost instantly.
Caitlin Clark's Kobe shoes sell out in the blink of an eye
According to TMZ, some of those who were able to purchase a pair of the coveted Kobe V Protos have already listed the shoes for sell on eBay. It sucks that some people bought the shoes only to sell them for a much higher price but that's just how things work these days sadly.
Plenty of WNBA have put out their own line of sneakers in recent years, thanks to the rising popularity of the league. Sheryl Swoops was the first to do so with the Nike Air Swoops and Sabrina Ionescu's "Nike Sabrina 2"s have received glowing reviews.
Now we'll see how Clark's fare as far as comfort goes. The Indiana Fever star has always spoke highly of Kobe Bryant's brand of shoes. While appearing on The New Heights podcast earlier this year, she discussed how his are the only shoes she'll wear and now she has her own shoe, which has to be a really cool feeling.
This will definitely only be the beginning for Clark when it comes to shoes and if the immediate sell out of her first line is any indication, getting your hands on pairs could be quite the challenge.
