Fridays are usually big days for the Chicago Cubs, but this most recent game was a little more special than most. Sammy Sosa returned to Wrigley Field for the first time since his career with the team came to an end back in 2004, and the vibes were immaculate.

During his 13-year career with the Cubs, Sosa became a beloved figure and helped put elevate the team's reputiation above being the Lovable Losers they'd been known as for decades. His role in chasing Roger Maris' single-season home run record back in 1998 launched him into global superstardom and reignited national interest in not just the Cubs but the entire sport of baseball, which is why his downfall was such a big deal.

A steroid scandal that eventually emerged involving the biggest names from that era -- including Sosa -- has forever tainted the period of the game's history. It's a major reason Sosa was essentially disowned by the Cubs for decades before making his return to the team on Friday.

Despite all of this, somehow Pete Crow-Armstrong stole a ton of the spotlight with one unsuspecting fashion choice.

Every Cubs fan wants Pete Crow-Armstrong's epic Step Brothers shirt he wore meeting Sammy Sosa

Cubs fans were over the moon to welcome Sosa back, but PCA meeting the franchise icon before the game went viral for a few reasons. There was the obvious meeting of two different franchise icons, but Crow-Armstrong's Step Brothers shirt instantly struck a chord with fans.

It's hard not to see why.

The shirt features PCA alongside his teammate Seiya Suzuki photoshopped on the poster for the Will Ferrell movie Step Brothers. It's not the first time this sort of shirt has popped up around Chicago or Wrigley, but the fact that it got this sort of stamp of approval understandably sent fans into a frenzy.

Sosa still dominated the majority of the conversation, but fans couldn't get over PCA's shirt and held it in almost as high regard as the meeting itself.

It helps that the Cubs, much like when Sosa played for them in his heyday, are actually good. After a tough stretch over the last decade, one that fans believe was a wasted opportunity to create a dynasty after winning the World Series in 2017, Chicago has the fourth-best record in baseball and enter the summer months with a nearly five-game lead in the NL Central.

PCA has been a huge part of the resurgence, playing like an MVP and giving fans all the warm fuzzy feelings that Sosa provided back in his day. The reaction to his Step Brothers shirt only reinforces that not only is the team good, but the vibes have never been better.
