Going off of a tweet from Usain Bolt, there is new speculations now suggesting that J. Cole may have signed a sneaker deal with Puma.
J. Cole has been a busy man as of late. He has been working on his sixth album and the follow up to last year’s K.O.D. ever since April 2018.
While he has dropped a few singles – like “Middle Child” – recently, it doesn’t look likely that the rapper’s next album will drop in the first half of 2019. Especially when he’s been shooting to release a collective Dreamville project this month. Speaking of, his inaugural Dreamville Festival went off with a bang, ushering 40,000 bodies last Saturday.
New word on the street is suggesting that music isn’t the only thing on his mind. He could also be working out a shoe deal with Puma.
The speculation comes all because of retired sprinter, Usain Bolt. Bolt is a notorious endorser of Puma sneakers. Bolt tweeted out a picture yesterday of himself with Cara Delevigne, Adriana Lima and other Puma endorsers. Smack dab in the middle of them all is none other than J. Cole. The caption which Bolt added to the post was “Puma Family.”
While Cole himself has yet to comment on the matter, the implication of the tweet suggests that he may be in the process of inking a deal with Puma. Or, perhaps he has already inked this deal and has yet to officially announce it. Bolt may have spilled the beans on his new Puma affiliate’s standing with the brand.
For the time being at least, we will be monitoring this situation closely for further updates. Keep in touch with Under the Laces for future updates. The best way to do so would be to follow us on Twitter and on Facebook.
