Puma unveil RS-X Hard Drive sneakers with Detroit Pistons’ rapper, B Free

With the help of teaming up with a local Detroit rapper named B Free, Puma unveiled their latest line of sneakers called the RS-X Hard Drive.

Puma have just unveiled their latest sneaker on Instagram and did so with the help of B-Free.

We know what you are thinking right now: who in the blue hell is B Free? Good question. From what we gather, he is a rising Detroit rapper in the city’s underground scene, who actually managed to get a feature on his latest song “Mine” from Diggy Simmons. You know, that one guy from Grownish. And, you know, Rev. Run’s kid; that’s what makes this such a big asterisk. Not to mention, he frequently performs for the Detroit Pistons in front of Little Caesars Arena.

This kid, B Free, is becoming a pretty big deal on the music scene. So big that he’s regularly working with Puma, apparently.

We have actually reported on a previous collaboration between the sneaker brand and the rapper when Puma unveiled their Palace Guard and Uproar Palace Guard shoe at a Foot Locker in Eastpointe, Michigan about five months ago and the unveiling featured an appearance from B Free. We are not sure if the kid inked a deal with Puma or if both parties just enjoy doing good business with each other, but either case would not surprise us at this point.

The RS-X Hard Drive actually first officially released last Thursday on Aug. 1, but Puma teamed up with the rising rapper to debut the shoes. Images from the collab were posted onto the rapper’s Instagram, which can be viewed below.

Because I need to get to a 300 word limit and I still need another 40-odd words to do that, it is worth noting that the rapper just dropped a new music video exclusively on YouTube for “Let Me Know.”
