New images surface of UNC Jordan 1 rumored for August

Images have surfaced of a new Jordan 1 set to release in August. The colorway will be an “Obsidian/UNC Blue.”

The Jordan 1 is widely accepted as the best shoe ever. Colorways like the Shattered Backboard, Bred, Royal, and Fragments have come to be the most sought-after shoes on the market.

If you ask me, the Jordan 1 is absolutely the best shoe we have ever been blessed with. They look good to play basketball in or just to show off. A person really can’t go wrong with a pair of 1’s.

The colorway set to release this summer is no different. While the colorway does bear a strong resemblance to one released back in February, it is another contender for sneaker of the year in my opinion.

First look images were provided by @solebyjc and it is really love at first sight for me. Other than the way the shoe is laced in the picture, but of course that will change.

The Jordan 1 that released on Valentine’s Day features the same obsidian and university blue colorway. However, the past release was a women’s release so it was more difficult for men to get their hands on a pair. It was all-over patent leather, which gives a more luxurious appearance, but the creases will break wearers hearts.

Nike haven’t officially announced a release date, but several reports suggest that the pair are rumored to drop on Aug. 17th. They will feature all-over distressed leather dressed in the university blue and obsidian combination we know and love. This distressed leather material will prevent the creasing and relieve wearers of some stress that the shoes will be damaged. Thank you Jordan Brand, it truly means a lot that you care about us.

This Jordan 1 is a release I will be waiting for patiently while I save up the normal $160 these are said to be released at.
