Nike LeBron 17 to drop in a Lakers colorway

You asked for it. Now Nike are delivering. We are talking about how they are finally dropping a Nike LeBron 17 in a colorway based on the Los Angeles Lakers classic color scheme.

LeBron James has been on the Los Angeles Lakers (officially, during the official NBA season at least) for just over a year now and throughout the whole time now, fans have been asking for a new Los Angeles Lakers inspired colorway for the Nike LeBron 17 (and pretty much all of LeBron’s sneakers, truth be told). And in this whole entire past year, we have not been gifted with that colorway. Until now.

It seems more essential for us to get this colorway now than it was a year ago. Last year, the Lakers were in a rebuilding process after focusing on a youth movement with guys like Kyle Kuzma and Lonzo Ball. Now, after some trades and acquisition, the rebuilt has led to a superteam. LeBron included, fans can look forward to Lakers being a serious Playoffs contender for the first time in years with acquisitions like Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard. It seems now more special than ever before for fans to not only root for the Lakers, but represent their love on their feet with one of Bron Bron’s shoes.

The “Lakers” colorway took a twist on the classic Lakers colors that fans may or may not love. Rather than focus on the classic gold, the gold is a minor feature of the shoes while the black is a bigger focus on the shoe as seen here.

The “Lakers” Black / White Eggplant / Armadillo is due out at select Nike Basketball retailers and on Nike’s official website starting on Oct. 10 at a retail price of $200. What do you think of how these shoes look? Comment below.
