It's not often that an NFL player's mother is a household name, but that's exactly what Donna Kelce became in 2023. In February of that year, Donna attended Super Bowl LVII to support not just one of her NFL-playing sons but two.
To make things more dramatic, her sons' teams were squaring off that night, and ultimately, Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs prevailed over Jason Kelce and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Donna became America's mom during that time, and she only became more popular when Travis started dating Taylor Swift, and we got to see her interact with the pop star every week during Chiefs games.
Donna's sudden fame landed her a small cameo in the Chiefs' Hallmark movie that debuted last December, and now she's getting another opportunity that NFL moms don't get: a spot on Peacock's smash-hit reality show "The Traitors".
Donna Kelce to appear on Season 4 of "The Traitors"
"The Traitors" pits former reality TV show stars as well as actors/actresses, politicians, etc., against each other in a battle between faithfuls and traitors.
The show typically starts off with three players being named traitors, and they have to lie to their fellow contestants and try to make their way to the end, where, if they trick everyone successfully, they take the prize pot reward. If the faithfuls sniff out all of the traitors, they take the money at the end.
While the show first started with regular people playing with former reality TV stars, the second season kicked off the show going totally in a "celebrity" direction. This past season, the third in the show's US series, brought in more than just former reality TV stars, with Zac Efron's brother Dylan joining the cast and becoming a fan favorite.
It's hard to say how well Donna Kelce will do on Peacock's popular show. She seems too nice to lie to people, so being a traitor might not be for her, but if she's a faithful and aligns with the right people, perhaps she can make it to the end and win.
Either way, she's going to make season four of "The Traitors" even more of a must-watch show.
