At the unique intersection of fashion, sport, and, somewhat surprisingly, a mineral water brand, Smartwater recently influenced the tunnel outfits of three WNBA athletes. Serving as an inspiring catalyst for Seattle Storm guards Nika Muhl and Jewell Loyd and Las Vegas Aces guard Kelsey Plum, the three women showcased their styles, each holding a Smartwater bottle to complete their looks.

The Smartwater brand served as inspiration to three WNBA players' outfits

Tasked by Smartwater to design a standout ensemble, the stylists enhanced their individual aesthetics and transformed their vision into reality, showcasing Smartwater as the perfect game-day accessory. Prominent athlete stylists and creative designers were enlisted to oversee the Smartwater collaboration, with Brittany Hampton recognized as the mastermind behind Nika Muhl's tunnel fit.

As previously discussed at Under the Laces, Nika Muhl's striking fashion choices have made her stand out among the WNBA's most fashionable players. It’s almost certain that she’ll be photographed in a runway-ready outfit or showcasing her unique take on inspired looks. The same sentiment applies to Muhl's Smartwater-inspired look, as she sported a chic cool grey ensemble consisting of a blazer and dress pants, all while maintaining her trademark elegance. While Muhl is still in the early stages of her WNBA career and not getting much playing time on a playoff-contending Seattle Storm roster, her consistent presence as a true fashionista in the league has kept her name in the spotlight.

Jewell Loyd's pre-game fit took on a striking streetwear-inspired approach, showcasing her unique sense of style and individuality. She sported a pair of camouflage pants, known for their edgy aesthetic, paired effortlessly with a simple yet stylish plain black tee. Completing her look was an off-white to cream-hued fisherman's vest, which added a touch of rugged charm to her ensemble. The synergy between the shirt and vest created a cohesive look that echoed the refreshing vibe of the Smartwater bottle situated by her side.

She also appeared to be wearing a pair of Air Jordan 1s on her feet. While the shoes were not entirely visible in the setting, the colorway strongly suggests a close resemblance to the iconic "Chicago" variant. Overall, her pre-game outfit reflects a perfect blend of comfort, style, and basketball culture, making a memorable statement before stepping onto the court.

Kelsey Plum had the privilege of being the first among her peers to unveil her Smartwater-inspired outfit. The standout cornerstone of the Las Vegas Aces showcased a look that beautifully combined elements of sophistication and allure. With every detail carefully curated, her ensemble exuded a unique flair that seamlessly blended sexiness with class. Plum's fashion choice not only highlighted her personal style but also affirmed her status as a trendsetter in the world of sports and fashion.
