Puma Goes Back to the 1980s with 'Gremlins' Collaboration

It feels like 2023 has been filled with sneaker collaborations featuring beloved TV shows and movies. Adidas has been leading that charge in many ways with its recent The Simpsons collaboration. Puma wants in on the game, though. Before the year is out, they'll introduce another collab with a beloved franchise. Puma is collaborating with Gremlins. 

Puma is set to release a 'Gremlins' collaboration 

Puma is all over the pop culture offerings with an upcoming Gremlins collaboration, and we like the look. The Puma x Gremlins collaboration centers around a pair of All-Pro Nitros. The company's signature basketball shoe offers high-tech foam, but this particular colorway screams lifestyle sneaker. 

The collaboration offers a mismatched colorway, with one sneaker offering brown and yellow accents against a white upper and the other featuring shades of green against a white upper. The contrasting earth tones represent Gizmo (brown and yellow) and Stripe (green). 

Gizmo and Stripe's faces are featured on the heel of their respective sneaker. A fuzzy tongue and a natural sole round out the shoe and really bring the theme into focus. The sneakers will retail for $140, just $10 more than the basic All-Pro Nitros. 

Puma made the big announcement on their official website, but before fans grab all of their Gremlins wear, the company wants to issue a reminder. When dealing with Gremlins, you should never get them wet, keep them away from the light, and, above all else, never feed them after midnight. So, as long as you don't offer your Gremlins sneakers a snack after the clock strikes midnight, you'll be fine. 

The collection will include more than just sneakers 

While the Gremlin-themed All-Pro NITRO sneakers are the flagship item in the collaboration, they aren't the only themed piece of sportswear fans can get their hands on. According to Hyperbeast, Gremlin fans will be able to pick up all sorts of apparel thanks to the collaboration. 

The collection will start at $45 and include everything from t-shirts to sweatpants. One long-sleeve offering features the classic Gremlin claw marks down the sleeve. We can say for absolute certainty that Puma understood the assignment. 

The Puma x Gremlins All-Pro Nitro is expected to be released on the company's website on Dec. 8. The rest of the apparel collection will drop at the same time.
