Nike Book 1 "Haven" colorway on its way to stores with special inspiration

Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker is not letting his foot off the brakes when it comes to releasing variations of his first signature sneaker. The Nike Book 1 has quickly become hot sellers for Nike and Booker respectively as they look to release the next installment in the "Chapter 1" collection, this time with some seemingly unique inspiration.

The shoe features inspiration from Booker's dog, Haven, hence the name of the colorway. The model features an all-black upper (a reference to the black fur that Haven has) complemented with an almost rose gold hit on the swoosh and an icy blue finish on the sole to complete this latest version of the shoe.

As well as accompanying the Cane Corso's inspiration, it gives off the vibe of a mix between a Lakers-type colorway also with the swoosh compliment on a majority black design, with the Los Angeles Lakers being the home for Devin Booker's mentor and inspiration for the game of basketball, the late, great, Kobe Bryant. The colors also seem to draw inspiration from the threads of Devin Booker's hometeam, Phoenix Suns.

It will be interesting to see what other colorways release related to the "Chapter 1" portion of the collection and if there will be more specific inspirations, maybe including a full-on homage to Kobe Bryant. After all, Booker has worn a variety of Kobe Bryant signature sneakers throughout his career so it could make sense to see Booker draw some inspiration as well as wanting to give a shoutout to a mentor like Kobe in the future.

We have seen Booker debut some other variations of the sneaker on the court with inspirations of classic sneakers as well, including the "Shattered Backboard" Air Jordan 1s, so the idea of well-known silhouette inspirations is not out of the picture for this collection.

The Nike Book 1 "Haven" will be released on April 6th, 2024, at an SRP of $140 on Nike.com and select in-store retailers.
