Does 2024 WNBA Draft first overall pick Caitlin Clark have a signature shoe?
The 2024 WNBA Draft was one of the most star-studded classes in recent years. With collegiate superstars such as LSU's Angel Reese, Stanford's Cameron Brink, and of course, Iowa Hawkeyes standout Caitlin Clark. In fact, it was Clark who the Indiana Fever selected with the first overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. There was a lot of buzz surrounding Caitlin Clark's entry into the WNBA, as she is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most accomplished collegiate players in history, regardless of gender. Clark stands at the top of the NCAA Division I's all-time leading scorer, while also securing two titles as Naismith College Player of the Year.
With all the fanfare surrounding Caitlin Clark, it begs the question, does the newly-acquired WNBA superstar have a signature shoe line?
No trademark Caitlin Clark sneaker yet, but expect one to arrive very soon.
As of now, Clark is without a signature sneaker, but she is signed to the Nike brand under a NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) deal. Under these terms, Clark can profit from Nike using her in advertisements, campaigns, and attachments to certain products. Clark signed the NIL deal back in 2022, but seeing as she was a collegiate player, she's yet to receive a high-profile shoe line to her name.
As far as Clark's current on-court sneakers go, she is a huge fan of the Nike Kobe Bryant line, more specifically the Nike Kobe 6 Protro. Clark has worn many iterations of the sneaker in the past, including the famous "Grinch" and "Reverse Grinch" colorways, as well as the "Playoff Pack – Del Sol" and Nike Kobe 5 "Bruce Lee".
Fellow 2024 WNBA draftee Cameron Brink said this in an interview regarding a potential Caitlin Clark sneaker:
"Obviously she is an amazing player, but she has a great persona and she makes people want to follow her. It’s her emotion and her integrity. I really admire her... [Clark] deserves a shoe pretty soon, and I think a lot of people would buy it."

While 3rd overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft Rickea Jackson said this:
"She should have got a shoe in college."

The question isn't will Caitlin Clark get a signature shoe, it is merely a question of when. Being attached to the Nike brand also will help Caitlin Clark gain further exposure and mainstream appeal as a household name. Not saying she isn't one already, as Clark is arguably the newlymented face of the WNBA drawing off of her collegiate success. Expect Caitlin Clark to be a cornerstone of Nike's Basketball division for years to come.
