Adrian Peterson hasn't played in the NFL since 2021, but the legendary running back has consistently found his way into headlines. That continued recently when a video went viral of Peterson getting into a fight at a poker game. This wasn't an exaggerated altercation where guys were just pushing each other, it was an actual fight with both men throwing punches. Soon, the two could continue their fight in a legit boxing match.

TMZ recently reported that Damon Feldman, the founder of Celebrity Boxing, has made an offer for Peterson and his opponent, Joe "Baby Joe" Castaneda to handle their business in the ring. Feldman said bluntly, "You can't just battle it out on the street anymore -- let's take it to celebrity boxing."

Adrian Peterson receives a celebrity boxing offer after poker fight

After the video of the fight went viral, an offer for a boxing match was always likely to be the next step. While celebrity boxing and exhibition fights have always been a thing, they've seemingly taken over in recent years, with just about everyone getting into a boxing ring lately. From former athletes to reality TV stars, to social media influencers, there's some type of celebrity boxing every weekend.

Adrian Peterson has previously been involved in a celebrity boxing match, fighting another former running back, Le'Veon Bell, back in 2022. The five-round fight didn't have much action throughout, but ended with Bell scoring a TKO win over Peterson in the fifth round. Peterson hasn't made it known if he's ready or willing to get back in the ring yet.

If he is, he'll have an opponent waiting for him, as Castaneda has already told TMZ he's willing to glove up with the legendary running back for the right price. Feldman appears ready to offer that price, so it could all come down to whether Peterson wants to do it or not.
