Will the Adidas Harden Vol. 9 takeover the court in 2025?

Adidas has seemingly taken the respect and attention that Nike has produced with recent sneaker drops in the basketball department personally, as they have been on a roll with the designs and releases of recent hooping shoes. As Nike has produced some of the more respected sneakers in the space recently, with an example being the success of Devin Booker's Nike Book 1, the three stripes have made it known they still have some heaters in their back pocket.

Adidas has been strategic in using the hype and success of models that became popular with the Adidas brand under the partnership with Kanye West and has integrated that style into recent basketball sneaker drops. After all, hoopers have always had more looking styles with their sneaker choices on the court, so it only makes sense to take advantage of the popular style even if you cannot directly partner with the man who made it popular and partly planted the seed creatively in the first place.

A sneaker that has social media in a frenzy with how sleek a pair of sneakers can get. A shoe that looks so fun to wear is something that I have not thought about in so long in relation to sneakers, especially for the hardwood floors.  The Clippers superstar is not afraid to let the world know his confidence in his line with Adidas either, letting it be known for years that he feels he has the best sneakers in modern basketball. With a mix of the futuristic style that the final pairs of Yeezy X Adidas were releasing mixed with the basketball technology and what is needed for a sneaker to wear on the court in 2025, this could be a shoe that you see on TV as well as at the local gym when getting some runs in on the court. The upcoming schedule for the Adidas Harden Vol. 9 is as follows: 

• February 22: Pearlized (white and black).
• March 15: Metamorphosis (green and black).
• April 5: Hell Cat (black and red).
• May 10: Ice Metallic (blue and silver).

While the overall branding for the sneaker can be interpreted as not present, Adidas is taking full advantage of the reputation that the Yeezy model and aesthetic got them within footwear as it is almost instantly recognizable that this is an Adidas shoe just by looking at them. Keep an eye out on the courts; these might become the hooping shoe of the year.
