Pacers' star guard Tyrese Haliburton had himself a night on Tuesday, competing against Giannis Antetekoumpo and the Milwaukee Bucks.
Facing a 3-point deficit with only 3.2 seconds left in regulation, Haliburton gave his team a spark of life by hitting a three-pointer that would end up giving the Pacers the lead as he was fouled by Giannis, granting a 4-point play with a shot going in at the stripe. Haliburton was able to score the free throw and send the Indiana faithful home happy with another W in the win column.
What makes the win more special is the pair of sneakers that Hali had on for the win, competing in D Generation X themed shoes, and he even received a shoutout from one of the founding DX members himself and head of WWE, Triple H.
"Inspired by DX…I hope the fines aren’t too crazy" -Triple H
The wrestling-themed kicks feature a black base coat with green splatter across the shoes as if they were given a visit from the signature green spray paint with which the faction became synonymous over the years. The tongue showcases a green "X" sprayed over it as well.
Haliburton would take to his socials as well to give more homage to the legendary wrestling group by posting their signature catchphrase along with a clip of the game-winning shot and moment.
And if you don’t like that… We got 2 words for ya!!!! https://t.co/h3cSYhJjhx pic.twitter.com/a8WOMG3yEc

Haliburton is no stranger to the WWE Universe, having made several appearances in the past, including being ringside for WWE's annual Royal Rumble event back in February as well as a face to face angle with fellow NBA guard, Knicks' Jalen Brunson, in the Summer of 2024 following the playoff series between the two teams. Will we eventually see the Pacers star enter the squared circle for an official match? Anything can happen in the world of pro wrestling.
