As the classic movie series has officially announced a 5th film in the series, Crocs has implemented plans to re-release the infamous Shrek Crocs Clogs that were released in 2023.

The collaboration between Shrek and Crocs became one of the first collabs that Crocs had that went mainstream in a sense where it got on the sneakerheads' radar as far as what could become when it came to collabs with Crocs and other notable franchises. Since then, they have dove into the world of Anime with cross-promotion projects with series like Dragon Ball Z and Naruto as well as the Dark Knight with the Batman collab clog.

What makes the Shrek version of the classic clog so unique and probably drew many in upon first viewing a couple years back is the fact that the shoe is structured like a normal clog; however, it adds to the known style of Crocs by putting the flavor of Shrek into it as well. The green giant's vintage appearance includes his ears and nose sticking out of the clog's holes at the toe box. A fuzzy brown piece is connected to the adjuster at the heel to give homage to the iconic vest that Shrek sports during the series. The Shrek "S" logo is also plastered at the heel, showing off the Ogre's personality.

As a collab, this might be the strongest that Crocs has performed alongside another signature franchise, in my opinion. It matches the expectation for a joint project with Shrek of all things by including signature aspects and really makes the shoe feel like a true collaboration.
