In what has been nothing but an interesting year, to say the least, Aubrey 'Drake' Graham, to say the least, he is still looking to bounce back from the loaded 2024 he had. Coming off of one of the most historic moments in hip-hop history in a heated, personal battle of words with rap superstar Kendrick Lamar, things are finally looking to get back to normal for Drake, lawsuits aside.
Drake started the year off with a collaboration album alongside fellow Canadian artist Party Next Door as they released "Some Sexy Songs 4 U", the first official collab project between the two Canadian natives following several joint records in the past. The hit song off the project would be 'Nokia,' a funky throwback-sounding track featuring vocals from mainly Drake on the track. The music video would be released for the song, and none other than the head of the Oklahoma City Thunder would arrive in the video to show off possibly the top sneaker in basketball right now, alongside who could be the top player in the league, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
The video is in black and white. However, SGA can be seen with multiple pairs of sneakers around his neck, including some colorways we have yet to see. While the shoes are unreleased, the public was able to spot some of the design process due to social media posts from SGA and the design team when the sneakers dropped earlier this year. Heavy promotion for one of the toughest models in basketball right now.
