Rob Gronkowski has always been known for his larger-than-life personality, on and off the field. From his high-flying touchdown spikes to shirtless Super Bowl parades, Gronk has long embraced the role of football’s fun-loving wildcard. But lately, the four-time Super Bowl champ is making headlines for something far more personal: his growing curiosity about fatherhood.
On a recent episode of the Dudes on Dudes podcast, about six minutes in, Rob Gronkowski posed a surprising question to guest Rob Ninkovich. It offered a rare glimpse into the personal side of one of the NFL’s most fun-loving stars.
"I’m the only one here without kids. Slater has kids, Julian has a kid, you’ve got a couple kids. What is it like to be a father and what am I missing out on? I want you to convince me that I should be making kids tonight."
And this wasn’t the first time Rob has brought up the topic of kids. On the previous episode, he asked a similar question to longtime teammate Matthew Slater, showing that fatherhood might be on his mind more than he lets on.
We know that Gronk has been with longtime girlfriend Camille Kostek for nearly a decade, and the relationship remains as solid as ever. The two have been proud dog parents to their French bulldog Ralphie since 2021, but with Gronk now 36 and Camille 33, it’s definitely that stage in life where starting a family wouldn’t be surprising.
Is Gronk getting serious about fatherhood? Time will tell. But if his recent comments are any indication, it’s a topic that's not only on his radar, it’s starting to sound a lot less like a joke and a lot more like a serious possibility.
