Longstanding giants in the world of breakfast cereals, Kellogg's Frosted Flakes and Froot Loops varieties have cracked the top 10 of the top 30 most popular cereals since 2004, according to Google searches. They may not be packed with the most health-conscious elements (although they'll claim to be), but one thing is for sure - they're darn delicious and no one can say otherwise.

With such these particular brands of cereal being so popular, it's only right for them to have mascots that carry their name with pride. It was in 1952 when Frosted Flakes were looking for a mascot and the race was between Tony the Tiger and Katy the Kangaroo, where ultimately Tony was declared the winner. Over half a century later, Tony the Tiger stands as Frosted Flakes' timeless face, with his signature catchphrase, "They're Grrreat!", ringing a bell in children's ears everywhere.

On the other hand, it wasn't till a few years later after Frosted Flakes found its mascot that Froot Loops found blue, rainbow-nosed avian fellow, Toucan Sam, introduced in 1963. Another bubbly character promoting his respective cereal to children, Toucan Sam's ability was his incredible sense of smell, which led to his signature catchphrase, "Just Follow Your Nose!"

And now, as a testament to their timeless nature, Toucan Sam and Tony the Tiger are the latest inspirations for Crocs' next set of Summer 2024 silhouettes.

Toucan Sam and Tony the Tiger are just as recognizable as any mainstream cartoon character. It's fitting that Crocs paid homage to their likeness as well.

The Frosted Flakes-inspired silhouette will be in a sandal form, coated with a furry orange interior lining, mirroring Tony the Tiger's signature stripes inside the footbed. Tony's red bandana which is usually seen around his neck covers the top half of the sandal, while the bottom half is strapped with a Crocs Jibbit piece reading his iconic catchphrase. The catchphrase is also plastered along the side of the sandal, while a Kellogg's Frosted Flakes logo can be seen on the heel.

The Froot Loops-inspired silhouette takes shape in a classic Crocs clog, with a white base covered in Toucan Sam's signature rainbow nose palette. A portion of his face is transferred as a graphic on the clog, while the sport mode tab has his sky blue wings to almost bring the Clog to life. Included also is a Croc Jibbit piece of a big ol' bowl of Froot Loops and a "Follow Your Nose" charm.

The Froot Loops x Crocs and Frosted Flakes x Crocs collab will drop on June 14, with a starting retail value of USD 70 or CAD 85 for our friends living across the border.
