There's a fun sneaker collaboration releasing courtesy of Puma and Squishmallows

Plush toys have been around forever and in the process, putting smiles on generations of children's faces everywhere! Whether it be a good old-fashioned teddy bear, sock monkey, or Beanie Babies, there is an endless market of plush toys available for boys and girls (even some adults, no shame at all there). But one brand of plush toys in recent years has arguably been the stronghold on the market, that being Jazwares entity, Squishmallows.

What exactly is a Squishmallow you may ask? Well they're far from just being plush toys. As the official Jazwares site dedicated to Squishmallows suggests, "Debuting in 2017, the iconic Squishmallows brand features collectible plush with lovable personalities, a whimsical design, and ultrasoft feel. In more than 55 countries, the strong brand equity and popularity have resulted in multiple line extensions and cross-category collaborations."

And speaking of "cross-category collaborations", some lovable characters from the Squishmallows universe are being adapted into sneakers through a partnership with sportswear brand, Puma.

Squishmallows aren't just for cuddling and collecting anymore, as their collaboration with Puma is making them wearable in various forms!

Puma will be releasing sneakers based on some of the brand’s most admired characters, including Cam the Cat, Lola the Unicorn, and Winston the Owl. The collaboration is not limited to just shoes either, as they will also feature t-shirts, hoodies, and shorts according to the official Puma x Squishmallows site.

Each Squishmallows character is seeing their design and color palette integrated into some of Puma’s best casual silhouettes. Cam the Cat takes the Puma RS-X model, with a beige, neutral look accompanied by some vibrant colors to capture the playful nature of Squishmallows. You can wear Lola the Unicorn on your feet in the form of a Puma Cali, with her tie-dye purple look translating perfectly to create an eccentric sneaker. Winston the Owl is available in the Puma Suede XL model, with his signature turquoise look creating the perfect spring-summer shoe for any Squishmallows kiddos.

Dropping online and at select retailers on March 15, the Puma x Squishmallows collection will be available in children’s sizes (toddler, preschool, and grade school) with prices ranging from $65 to $100 depending on the model.
