Rich Paul is arguably basketball’s most prominent sports agent in the world. His Klutch Sports agency represents some of the NBA’s absolute best including Anthony Davis, Anthony Edwards, Tyrese Maxey, Trae Young, and Paul’s close friend, LeBron James.

Paul’s Klutch entity has ventured into sportswear as he’s partnered with New Balance to establish Klutch Athletics, an athleisure and activewear line that “celebrates the intersection of sport, culture, and community.”

Rich Paul's stronghold on the sports agency market has influenced a partnership with New Balance.

Despite what the name might suggest, Paul says that Klutch Athletics “is a separate entity from Klutch Sports Group with a new logo and an emphasis on performance training apparel.” The first collection of Klutch Athletics products dropped in the Spring of 2023, with an “initial rollout of Klutch Athletics products includes jackets, compression tops, a training vest, sports bras, and a variety of shorts.”

Paul takes pride in his brand being 100% “Black-owned” and Klutch Athletics Chief Design Officer David Creech says, “It will deliver products for all athletes, regardless of sport or gender.” In March 2024, the next season of Klutch Athletics by New Balance will offer the same athlete-oriented apparel and several casual wear items in many new colorways.

The Spring 2024 season brings along some new products, however, familiar items from the initial release return including the Men’s Pregame Chill Short, Men’s Fleece Hoodie, Men’s Fleece Jogger, Men’s Short Sleeve T-Shirt, Men’s Sleeveless Top, Men’s Fleece Hoodie, and Men’s Fleece Jogger. Plastered across every item in this new collection is a bold wordmark reading KLUTCH, to emphasize the brand’s collaboration.

The second collection of Klutch by New Balance is now available online at the official NB website and is expected to roll out at select retailers in the coming months. Starting retail prices for the products range from $40 for some lower-end garments like t-shirts, to $75-$130 for higher-end apparel such as track jackets and pants.
