Once an extremely rare PE (player exclusive) worn by LeBron James back in 2006, the Nike Lebron 4 “Fruity Pebbles” colorway is being released for the general public on March 7. Originally scheduled for a February 23 drop, Nike pushed the “Fruity Pebbles” model for a Spring release, where it will hit the SNKRS app, Nike’s official website and select in-store retailers for a SRP of USD 250.

The exclusivity of the Bron "Fruity Pebbles" was on full display when he gifted Ja'Marr Chase of the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals a pair of the kicks in football cleat form, with a custom "Ja'Marr Pebbles" cereal box to top it all off. And funnily enough, the colorful football cleat or Nike LeBron 4 Menace "Fruity Pebbles" as its officially known is also on tap for a general public release in Spring 2024. So all those going hard on the field or on the hardcourt can enjoy the fruitful (pun intended) nature of this flashy set of sneakers.

King James first graced the “Fruity Pebbles” LeBron 4’s in a Cavs-Hawks matchup, where he went on to put up a near triple-double of 31 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists in a 106-5 Cleveland victory. A nod to his favorite cereal growing up, the shoe was strictly a LeBron-worn only model in the time since 2006 till now.

Though it’s not the original 2006 edition (last sold on StockX for a hefty CAD 4053), the 2024 incarnation of the Nike LeBron 4 "Fruity Pebbles" is as close of an identical mirror to the O.G. as it gets.

It's no cheap bowl of cereal when it comes to the cost of an original Nike LeBron 4 "Fruity Pebbles".

With a white leather upper and a design reminiscent of a Nike Foamposite, the outsole is covered in tons of Fruity Pebbles, giving its vibrant breakfast cereal effect. The zany colors continue across the sole grips, as you get a rainbow from top to bottom, with a subliminal "23" in honor of LeBron's famous jersey number plastered along the yellow tab.

You will certainly find no trouble keeping your ankles in place, as the shoe construction looks to be quite the reinforcing basketball high-top. Complete with a Fruity Pebbles branded Nike shoe box, this LeBron 4 model is another food-inspired sneaker that will have enthusiasts of that genre raving.

The Nike LeBron 4 "Fruity Pebbles" just might be zany enough to work.
