American footwear designer Salehe Bembury and popular foam footwear brand Crocs are no strangers to working alongside each other. Most notably, their collaborative project in 2021 which introduced the Pollex Clog to the masses was met with piqued interest in the sneakerhead community.

Now for Spring 2024, the two parties have come together once again to release another innovative piece of footwear, except it’s not just a sandal this time around. On April 29, Bembury announced on his Instagram that the anticipated launch of the Salehe Bembury x Crocs Jupiter in the “Guava” look would be available starting May 30.

Renowned fashion designer Salehe Bembury and Crocs are back with a new project that is sure to create waves in the fashion world.

The Jupiter sneaker is the latest addition to Bembury's product line with Crocs, bringing the total number of collaborations to four. This new sneaker joins the ranks of his acclaimed Pollex Clog, Pollex Slide, and the recently launched Saru Clog model. Each design showcases Bembury's unique blend of innovative style and functionality, making them a must-have for fashion-forward individuals. With the addition of the Jupiter sneaker, Bembury continues to push the boundaries of footwear design and solidify his reputation as a trendsetter in the industry.

Giving off outdoorsy vibes, the Crocs Jupiter “Guava” features a rigid, exaggerated forest green outsole that mirrors the synonymous trademark style associated with Salehe Bembury. The upper material is a sock-like running shoe silhouette with a solid amount of holes for adequate ventilation, and taking a pinkish, peachy-esque hue throughout.

The slip-on clog/trail sandal merged with a sneaker look is an idea that has been explored before, with brands like Merrell and Salomon providing models of a similar nature. However, given Bembury’s influence as a fashion icon and Crocs’ evergrowing popularity in the leisure footwear market, this upcoming project is expected to garner comparable interest to other releases.

Speaking of the two parties generating success, their collaborative efforts saw them honored with the Collection of the Year award at the 2023 Footwear News Achievement Awards. The President of Crocs, Michelle Poole, said this about the two brand’s efforts in her acceptance speech at the 2023 FN Achievement Awards:

"We could not ask for a more innovative and like-minded partner. Our original Pollex Clog introduced a new design language of form and function. This collection has given us new opportunities to do what Crocs does best by inviting new consumers to experience our comfort. "

Fans await the May 30 release date, however, they also await further details on pricing and retail options, as these have yet to be revealed to the public. Expect an official announcement in the lead-up to the product launch.
