Reebok partners with Panini America for a product collection honoring an NFL legend

Back in 2022, Reebok and Panini America joined forces for a reimagined line of NBA legend Allen Iverson's Reebok Question silhouettes. Panini America is the powerhouse of sports cards, and they put their signature touch on the retro Question shoes with shoe charms that read "Rookie Shoe" and inscribing their logos on each respective set of sneakers. Earlier this month, Reebok announced it would be partnering once again with the leading sports card manufacturer to create a dynamic collection of footwear, apparel, and collectible cards. This time around, the two brands look to honor football legend and longtime partner Emmitt Smith, while also showcasing Panini's renowned Prizm line of sports cards.

In 1993, Reebok and NFL icon Emmitt Smith formed a powerful partnership. Over the course of the decade, Smith featured prominently in Reebok's advertising campaigns, showcasing the brand's innovative "Preseason" line of turf shoes. This bold new direction was further solidified with the launch of the ES22 trainer in 1996, a groundbreaking design that combined Reebok's cutting-edge performance technology with Smith's exceptional speed, strength, and agility.

Fast-forward to 2009, when Smith became part of the Panini America family through a historic agreement with the NFL, encompassing both current and former players. In 2012, Panini introduced its flagship "Prizm" brand, offering a premium sports card experience that quickly captured the imagination of collectors. With its striking high-gloss finish, eye-catching rookie cards, and limited-edition inserts, Prizm has become one of the most coveted and iconic products in modern sports card culture. Now, as part of the "Reebok x Panini Prizm Preseason" collection, two legendary brands come together in a celebration of athletic excellence.

June 14 marked the arrival of the Emmitt Smith collection, headlined by three “Prizm”-inspired iterations of historic Reebok turf training shoes, the “Preseason ’94” and Emmitt Smith’s signature “ES22”. Fans of Reebok, Emmitt Smith, and Panini Prizm will delight in the attention to detail that has gone into crafting these sneakers. Each style features distinctive design elements, including vibrant Prizm logos, bold graphics that pay homage to iconic Panini cards and rare parallels, and subtle nods woven throughout the classic Reebok "Preseason" design aesthetic.
