Die-hard fans of the "Queen of Rap" can rejoice at her recent announcement of a signature sneaker line with LØCI. Nicki Minaj and LØCI are set for an April 12 product line drop with a collection of 11 different designs for fans to get their hands on.

The "Queen of Rap" Nicki Minaj is taking her business ventures to the world of sneakers in a collaborative effort with LØCI.

In the sneak-peek teaser clip, the pink silhouette shown draws comparisons to a Nike Air Force 1, albeit with a chunkier, platform-like sole. However, as part of the LØCI brand's mission statement, their sneakers are 100% vegan. The LØCI logo is branded on both the medial and lateral sides of the sneaker, and there is even a Nicki Minaj x LØCI caricature on the tongue tab.

As part of the caption to her Instagram post, Minaj had this to say:

"“Thank you to my team for helping me make this dream come to fruition. This isn’t a sponsorship. I’m an owner & partner & we will be showing you the first complete collection on 4/12. Love you BARBZ. THANK YOU. Nicki Minaj X LØCi @lociwear.”"

On the contrary of what the Queen of Rap mentioned above, it turns out Minaj isn't actually featured as an integral business partner in a proactive role with LØCI, and for now, it looks like this is merely a short-term collaborative project. Whether or not the two parties continue to work together is yet to be revealed, but the LØCI brand is no stranger to high-profile investors, as renowned actor Leonardo DiCaprio is listed as a shareholder in the company.

This may be Minaj's first line of signature sneakers associated with her likeness, but it's not the first set of shoes to be attached to the Queen of Rap's name. Last Summer, following the release of the acclaimed Barbie film adaptation, Minaj had a pair of PE (player-exclusive) Jordan 1s come out in a colorway named "The Pinkprint". Given its exclusive nature, fans of Minaj were unable to get a taste of the sneakers for themselves, but the LØCI-collab is the ticket for Nicki devotees to display their fandom in footwear form!
