Nike officially announces release of Jordan Brand's new Tatum 3 model

Jayson Tatum's collaboration with the Jordan Brand's footwear team has culminated in the creation of the Tatum 3. This new model is designed to offer unparalleled comfort, providing a broken-in feel straight from the box and adapting effortlessly to the wearer’s foot without causing any restrictions or discomfort. The latest upper design integrates findings from athlete movements studied in the Nike Sport Research Lab. By strategically layering materials in key areas, the shoe delivers enhanced power and comfort, resulting in a fit that is both supportive and adaptable, while avoiding any sense of bulkiness or rigidity.

The combination of Cushlon 3.0 foam and a Zoom Air insert, in conjunction with the upper's sturdy structure, enhances lateral movement, providing a smooth and stable feel. Additionally, the herringbone traction design supports an explosive first step and rapid cuts, allowing players to change direction seamlessly and come to an abrupt halt with ease.

The newly crowned 2024 NBA Champion shared insights about his latest shoe venture with the Jordan Brand in an official Nike press release, in which he stated:

"I don’t take having a signature shoe for granted... I’m grateful to be in a position where I can co-create with Jordan Brand and have fans connect with me through my shoe. My favorite part of the 3s is the way they take on color, so my hope is that we inspire and energize a lot of people through the colorway storytelling."

Jayson Tatum's seamless style of play and dedication to his family are intricately woven into the design of the Tatum 3. The shoe features elegant lines that symbolize his fluid approach to basketball, alongside the strong roots of his family heritage. As in the Tatum 2, the name of his son, Deuce, is prominently displayed on the interior of the tongue, positioned alongside his signature JT logo. Additionally, his jersey number 0 is printed on the heel, paired with distinctive phrases on the heel tabs that correspond to each colorway. Notably, his well-regarded phrase "Find A Way", derived from his 2023 "Humbly" interview, is showcased on the medial side of the sneaker.

Tatum introduced the latest silhouette during the reveal of the NBA 2K25 cover, as well as on his recent summer tour in China. There, he collaborated with other Jordan Brand athletes—Luka Dončić, Zion Williamson, and Paolo Banchero—to engage with local youth and nurture their passion for basketball.

The Tatum 3 is set to launch worldwide on jordan.com and at select retailers on October 10. The silhouette will commence its launch with a colorway named "Welcome to the Garden". Additionally, an exclusive bundle featuring both the Tatum 3 and the Air Jordan I will be released in a specially designed green double box, available at CNCPTS in Boston beginning October 5.
