Introducing the Ja 2, Nike’s answer to Morant's needs, designed specifically for today’s dynamic playmakers. This cutting-edge sneaker offers optimal support, superior bounce, exceptional responsiveness, and precise control, meeting the demands of elite athletic performance. Likewise, the Ja 2 has been engineered to withstand the demanding physicality of a complete season, providing the necessary support during explosive takeoffs, landings, and lateral movements.

The forefoot Air Zoom unit of the Ja 2 provides enhanced responsiveness, allowing athletes to navigate quick movements on the court with ease. Meanwhile, a molded midfoot panel ensures lockdown support and control for players engaging in fast breaks or one-on-one situations. Additionally, the underfoot traction pattern, inspired by the semitrailer tires that Morant trained on in his childhood backyard, enables athletes to make confident cuts.

The standout franchise cornerstone of the Memphis Grizzlies shared his thoughts on the unveiling of the Ja 2 in an official Nike press release, where the 25-year-old remarked:

"From the Ja 1 to the Ja 2, the core things remain the same. The work ethic doesn’t change... It’s about comfort, more bounce and bringing my fans into some different storytelling they may not know. We tell those stories through the colorways of my shoe."

Beginning September 26, the Ja 2 will officially launch on Nike's SNKRS app and in select retail stores. Furthermore, the associated silhouette and apparel collection will be available globally through nike.com and select retailers starting October 8.
