New Balance has long been a brand recognized for its comfort and support. They provide many footwear categories, from their classic "Made in USA" line to their ultimate 'dad shoe' in the 928 model, to their recent philosophy of implementing Fresh Foam in a good chunk of their sneakers. And it's Fresh Foam technology that New Balance has made the focal point of their latest innovation, a mule-style shoe called the Fresh Foam X RCVRY.

As the product description states on the official New Balance website, "Whether it's post marathon, game, or practice, this shoe has everything you need to rest, recover, and get back out there."

New Balance's innovative Fresh Foam X RCVRY mule is simple, yet effective.

Made up largely of the Fresh Foam X technology at its base, the RCVRY mule is tailored to provide everyday comfort as it contains a "360-degree massaging interior" and a "foot-hugging fully injected upper". In case you wear the RCVRY mule post-workout, at the beach, or they just become your go-to sneaker for a relaxed, athleisure look - it seems like their flexibility as a wardrobe piece knows no bounds.

The RCVRY's look models that of other mule style sneakers, such as the Yeezy Foam RNR silhouette, Merrell Hydro Mocs, or Crocs' Classic Clogs styles. However, New Balance has implemented a bit of a futuristic, almost space-shoe-like aesthetic with their RCVRY mule.

New Balance has carried mule-style sneakers in the past, including variants of the 2002 model, the New Balance Fresh Foam Sports Slip 900, and the New Balance NERGIZE mule. The RCVRY might be inspired by other mules or clogs that came before it, but this design is certainly a first of its kind for New Balance wearers to experience.

The New Balance Fresh Foam X RCVRY has been made available in three different colorways including "Concrete with Castlerock", "Tamarind with Spice Blue", and "Black with Spice Blue". The shoes are listed at a starting retail price of $100 on the New Balance website, however, they have quickly sold out in many popular sizes. New Balance may have struck gold with their Fresh Foam X RCVRY mule, indicating a potential restock due to the significant demand.
