Nike, in collaboration with streaming sensation Kai Cenat, has officially unveiled the Nike Air Max 1 "Low Poly" through a video shared on social media earlier this week. The partnership, which was first announced in February of this year, saw Cenat appointed as a brand ambassador. Since then, he has adeptly represented the Swoosh brand, showcasing his commitment to this exciting collaboration.

In a recent video featuring a meticulously recreated version of his iconic streaming room—once frequented by celebrities such as Nicki Minaj, Lil Yachty, and Kevin Hart—Cenat showcases a striking scene that evokes many unforgettable moments. The room, adorned with a cheetah-print rug, prominently includes the famous pink queen throne that gained recognition during the Nicki Minaj stream. As Cenat unboxes the new sneakers, he proudly presents them in all their glory.

The sneaker represents a refined iteration of the "University Red" Air Max 1 colorway, distinguished by a pixelated design that adorns the entire shoe. This model evokes a nostalgic aesthetic reminiscent of 90s and early 2000s culture, seamlessly blending vintage elements with contemporary style in Nike's latest offering.

Sneakerheads alike will be able to pre-order the "Low Poly" Nike Air Max 1 starting on Oct. 8 at 12 p.m. ET

With Nike enlisting Cenat to promote this particular sneaker, the brand may be considering incorporating him into future campaigns that may not generate as much initial excitement as collaborations with artists like Travis Scott. Given Cenat's influence among the younger demographic, including college students, his involvement could effectively engage audiences who might be unaware of the shoe's release. This strategy could serve as a proactive measure to ensure that these sneakers do not languish on clearance racks at Nike outlet stores, in my opinion.

This sneaker possesses a distinctive aesthetic that can attract attention for future releases with similarly unique designs. Although such aspects may not be immediately recognized, they can accumulate significance over time, particularly for specialty sneakers and limited-edition launches.

Sizes ranging from 3.5 to 18 will be available as part of the standard inventory for this product, which will retail at $150. As this shoe is classified as a technical pre-order item, Nike has indicated that it will be shipped approximately 120 days after the order has been placed and confirmed.
