Kyrie Irving has turned up his play to another level in the 2024 NBA Playoffs. A known competitor with years of postseason experience, Irving's Dallas Mavericks squad has put the breaks on all of their opposition, defeating the Los Angeles Clippers, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Minnesota Timberwolves. In the Western Conference Finals matchup with the Wolves, the Dallas Mavericks disposed of them in five games, en route to a 2024 NBA Finals matchup with the Boston Celtics, set to kick off June 6th. Irving and his superstar backcourt mate, Luka Doncic, contributed 36 points in a blowout 124-103 win, proving their pairing is sufficient to carry a team to success.

Irving's on-court footwear comes supplied through his partnership with the Chinese brand, ANTA, which he signed following a business rift with his previous sponsor, Nike. Irving proudly dons his signature sneaker, the ANTA KAI I, in various color variants and special-edition models. Kyrie has worn his ANTA KAI I "Chief Hélà" colorway for most of the Western Conference Finals series. This name pays homage to Irving's Lakota heritage translating in English to "Little Mountain". But, Irving's next ANTA KAI I venture takes a bit of a step back from powerful meanings or inspirations, yet still does its job of being a sleek, stylish basketball shoe.

Introducing the ANTA KAI I "Triple Black". In the game of basketball, it's not uncommon to see players go all out with eccentric color combos on their feet, but then again, you might see guys opt for a simple, yet effective look. The ANTA KAI I "Triple Black" does exactly that. Stealthy and trendy, it's a perfect look for a player of Kyrie Irving's prowess, as he can tap into his outgoing side, but also stays true to his roots by being humble and hospitable.

Mavericks star Kyrie Irving's ANTA KAI I goes into the shadows with the upcoming "Triple Black" colorway.

When the sneaker's colorway is labeled "Triple Black", it is exactly that. There are no underlays or intricate touches of color to accompany the dominant black look. Irving's signature ANTA logo is present on the shoe, as is his name written in what looks to be a Native American alphabet. Irving's jersey number 11 can also be seen on the sneaker near the tongue, but other than that, you get what you see with the "Triple Black" KAI I.

Fans can expect the ANTA KAI I "Triple Black" to hit the official ANTA website later this year, with a starting retail price tag of 125 USD, and availability in men's sizes. As for "Little Mountain" Kyrie Irving, he's still got a tall mountain ahead with his Dallas Mavericks as they look to take home the Larry O'Brien trophy in the 2024 NBA Finals.
