Celebrate 15 years of Coraline with this upcoming Converse x LAIKA collection

Converse and LAIKA have collaborated once again to introduce a unique line of footwear and apparel inspired by the beloved, Oscar®-nominated film Coraline, released in 2009. In November 2022, Converse and LAIKA collaborated to launch a collection of customizable Chuck Taylor silhouettes that pay tribute to several of LAIKA's iconic animated film projects.

Founded in 2005 in Oregon by President and CEO Travis Knight, LAIKA has made a significant mark in the animation industry. The studio is known for its five acclaimed films: Coraline (2009), ParaNorman (2012), The Boxtrolls (2014), Kubo and the Two Strings (2016), and Missing Link (2019), all of which received nominations for the Academy Award® for Outstanding Animated Feature.

In conjunction with the remastered 3D theatrical release of Coraline this past month, the forthcoming Converse x LAIKA product line will showcase items inspired by the acclaimed animated film. This collection features unique designs that capture the whimsical and imaginative essence of the film, appealing to both dedicated fans and new audiences alike.

Converse and LAIKA are set to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the critically acclaimed film Coraline.

The collaboration features an array of stylish sneakers and clothing items that reflect the enchanting world of Coraline. Each piece is thoughtfully designed to resonate with the film's themes, characters, and legacy, while also inviting fans with a fresh and fashionable way to celebrate their love for this animated classic.

Leading the Converse x LAIKA Coraline collection is the Chuck 70 High Top in the enchanting "Star Sweater" colorway. The "Star Sweater" Chuck 70 sneakers embody the playful and daring spirit of Coraline, featuring unique patterns and colors that vividly represent the enchanting world of the cult classic.

Guests attending the theatrical re-release of Coraline in the U.S. got first-hand access to pre-order the exclusive LAIKA "Star Sweater" Chuck 70 sneakers by using the QR code displayed during the pre-show presentation.
