The Chuck 70 Wedge has joined Converse's growing collection of elevated style offerings, bringing further options for sneaker enthusiasts following the launch of the De Luxe Wedge. This silhouette, featuring a hidden 2.5-inch wedge heel seamlessly integrated with the Chuck 70 upper and midsole, pays homage to Isabel Marant’s impactful presence in the fashion industry.

Isabel Marant's latest collection reflects her distinctive vision, merging high and low fashion with a hallmark of spontaneity, individuality, and natural sophistication. Echoing the spirit of Converse, Marant embraces unpredictability and nonconformity in every piece of this collection. This collaboration beautifully illustrates the union of two legendary brands with a nostalgic flair, resulting in a striking interpretation of "effortless luxury".

Marant chimed in on the collaboration in an official news release via the Nike Pressroom in conjunction with the Converse sub-banner, where she stated:

"I developed my brand in a very open and genuine way... I chose to build it step by step to maintain complete freedom in my work. The notion of ‘effortless luxury’ is quite authentic to me, my designs, and the meaning behind them. The word ‘luxury’ is used in too many ways, and you can get bored of it— it’s much more difficult to achieve something simple and effortless, of which you never get bored."

Completing the collection, Marant presents her unique interpretation of the Chuck 70 high-top and low-top sneakers, alongside the Chuck 70 Ox. Every silhouette showcases essential Chuck Taylor features, seamlessly blended with Marant’s distinctive design elements. Notable features include a frayed cotton and polyester Jacquard upper, the Isabel Marant logo tastefully placed in a raw-edge canvas overlay, vibrant multicolor pinstripes, and laces— all supported by a matching translucent outsole. This fusion of classic and contemporary design makes these sneakers a must-have for fashion enthusiasts.

Marant further commented in her statements for the official press release:

"When I was a kid, about eight or nine, I used to cut pieces of cork and put them in my sneakers — those shoes were actually a pair of Chuck Taylors... My intention [many years later] was to have an honest collaboration between the two companies — creating something that is desirable while also keeping a classic element. Something that is not complicated and remains true to the vibe of the original Chuck Taylor."

The highly anticipated Converse x Isabel Marant collection is set to debut on September 11, exclusively at the Isabel Marant Turenne Paris pop-up, as well as at Isabel Marant retail locations and on isabelmarant.com. Following the exclusive launch, the collection will become available the next day on converse.com and at select Converse stores.
