Sneakerheads and collectors worldwide are eagerly anticipating April 13th. It marks the eighth anniversary of Kobe Bryant's final NBA game, a significant milestone as Bryant wore the number 8 on his jersey for 10 years of his 20-year career. Additionally, this will be the first time in several years that the sports brand conglomerate Nike is preparing to fully celebrate the occasion.

Kobe's final game in the NBA solidified his legacy as not only a basketball legend recognized by fans worldwide but also as an unforgettable moment in NBA history. Bryant scored an impressive 60 points in a groundbreaking performance, leaving fans at the Staples Center in awe. All they could do was cheer for the amazing show that Kobe had just given them in Los Angeles.

Mamba Day has become an official annual celebration for Nike, dedicated to honoring the late Kobe Bryant as the face of the brand. Each year, Nike releases special sneaker and apparel collections, including exclusive options for fans. This year, Nike has announced their style options for fans and collectors. The Nike Kobe Protro 4 "Philly" pays tribute to Bryant's hometown with a classic light blue base, splattered red and white shoelaces, and a fan-favorite colorway originally released in 2009. The sneakers will be available for purchase on April 13th at 10:00 a.m. EST for $190.

The second pair appears to be the Nike Kobe 6 Protro "Italian Camo". These sneakers have a camo-like upper, accentuated by a striking red swoosh that adds a pop of color to the design. Choosing the Protro 6 for this particular design was a wise move by Nike, as this model has historically been a best-seller and a favorite in Bryant's design collection. The Nike Kobe 6 Protro "Italian Camo" is set to launch at 10:00 a.m. EST on Saturday, April 13, 2024, priced at $190.

Lastly, the Nike Kobe 8 "Venice Beach" enters the fray, and it does so with a vibrant style that showcases a different side to the design. The bright and electric colors bring a lively feel to the previously discussed simple pieces. With an infrared-like flare, these shoes immediately capture attention. Originally released in 2013, these eye-catching sneakers are set to make a comeback and are expected to sell out quickly. The Nike Kobe 8 Protro "Venice Beach" is scheduled to be released at 10:00 a.m. EST on Saturday, April 13, 2024.

As if that weren't enough, Adidas has officially entered the battlefield. The iconic 3 stripes are making a return to the Black Mamba with the release of the Adidas Crazy 98, inspired by the "Lakers Road" colorway, on April 13th. With a retro design, basketball players and collectors alike may be excited to add a pair of these to their rotation. These shoes will be available for purchase online for $150 starting at 10:00 a.m. on April 13th.

With all the competition and releases happening, it's looking to be a memorable Mamba Day all in respect for Kobe and his legacy.
