After weeks of waiting, Aaron Rodgers finally made the decision to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier this month. During his first press conference with the local Pittsburgh media, Rodgers also revealed that he recently got married.
The veteran quarterback shared that he has been married for "a couple of months," however, the doubts about the legitimacy of his new life adventure have already started to rise.
According to a recent report from DailyMail.com's Josh Boswell and Steve Helling, Rodgers's own family is "unconvinced the marriage is real" and they "suspect Rodgers may have had a symbolic 'commitment ceremony' instead of a legally binding wedding."
Family of Pittsburgh Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers skeptical of his new marriage
It's been pretty well-documented that Rodgers' relationships with some of his family members aren't on the greatest of terms. Still, something like a marriage would seem like a big enough life event to be shared with some of his closest family members.
But according to Boswell and Helling's report, Rodgers' brother, Jordan, and his wife JoJo didn't attend the Pittsburgh quarterback's alleged wedding, and they've only heard about his mystery wife from information passed along by his parents.
When it comes to who Rodgers is now allegedly married to, we don't even really know much about that either.
Back during an episode of "The Pat McAfee Show" in December, he shared that had a girlfriend named Brittani, and then on another episode of the show in April, he stated that he is in a "serious relationship."
Whether he's actually married or not, it's been quite an eventful past few months for Rodgers either way. It started with a rough departure from the New York Jets, followed by multiple weeks of him being at the center of rumors about possible retirement from the NFL or where he will play next, and eventually wound up with him signing with the Steelers earlier this month.
We likely won't hear from Rodgers again until July when Pittsburgh begins its training camp, and even then, don't expect him to spill all the details about a wedding or who he's actually married too.
