As a vital piece of the San Antonio Spurs' young core, Devin Vassell walked into the rowdy mecca of sports, Madison Square Garden, on Wednesday's Christmas Day game looking to knock off the Knicks 20-10 season momentum. Leaving the holiday game with a three point loss, Vassell managed to put up 11 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds in 36 minutes of playing time. While putting in a solid performance for the New York crowd, Vassell did all of the hooping in a new edition of Nike Book 1's in a Christmas theme.

The sneakers look to be a player exclusive pair for now, but they offer some versatility to a shoe that has garnered a lot of attention in it's short life span on the shelves. The Nike Book 1 has already been looked as a 'hybrid' type shoe much like Adidas' highly successful AE1 sneaker by Anthony Edwards where they are great casual looks for everyday wear, but also adapt well to what they are made for, being hooping on the court.

The pair feature green and red bases for each sneaker and holiday themes all around them. With the swoosh designs altered slightly, they give the shoe a whole new identity that might be something to convince consumers they have to get a pair. With the left reading "NICE" and the right reading "NAUGHTY", the Christmas touch is certainly seen. Featuring color swapped laces as well, this looks like a brand new sneaker.

In addition to the new PE variant, Booker revealed some new “Oogie Boogie” Nike Book 1 on his Instagram story as well as during his shoot around time before the Christmas night game. These feature a slime green hue and a white swoosh for the ultimate combonation topped off with a orange and black "BOOK" tag on the tongue.
