LeBron James recently stopped by New York for Fanatics Fest, and the Los Angeles Lakers superstar made his way through the streets on Saturday night for another event. Unfortunately, James’ arrival at the event was a bit chaotic as he had to navigate a crowd of fans and some angry hecklers on his way into the building.
Of course, it was all captured on camera and shared on the internet. In the video, James is seen making his way to the building when a person approaches him with something in their hands, asking for a signature. The basketball star denied their request, and that instantly turned the fan into a hater, as he criticized James for not signing autographs.
The boldness of this one fan ignited the surrounding crowd, as they all started to boo James and hurl insults in his direction. Hecklers could be heard saying, “Go back to L.A.,” calling him “LeBum,” and even letting him know, “You’ll never be Jordan! Or Kobe!”
Through it all, James was unfazed, not paying the hecklers any attention. He just casually walked his way into the building.

Fans hurl insults at Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James outside of New York City event
This is surely nothing new for James, who has seen his fair share of love and hate during his 22 years in the NBA. Knowing how petty James could be when he does respond to nonsense, he’d probably point out how the people who were insulting him were just asking for an autograph.
Dominating the league for over two decades, James has a long history with New York. In 2010, joining the Knicks was a serious option for him, but he ultimately signed with the Miami Heat. In 2017, after a win over the Knicks, he dubbed himself the King of New York in an Instagram caption referring to Madison Square Garden as his favorite playground.
Those things certainly didn’t go over well with New York fans, but not getting his autograph was seemingly the final straw.
