As Lil Yachty is still coming off the heels of the first release of the Nike Air Force 1 Low "Concrete Boys" sneaker earlier this year, new previews of future models are continuing to drop online. If you remember, there was some initial pushback from people on social media when the first sneaker design was released. Many felt the look of the shoe was too simple to be a collaboration sneaker from a mind like Lil Yachty and a massive company like Nike.
As the Atlanta native looks to expand on his relationship with Nike by adding to the collaboration resume, he is looking to make the next silhouettes more and more unique by the drop. This specific model was first shown off back in April of 2024 at Yachty's Coachella set. The new sneaker looks to draw heavy inspiration from BAPE and the BAPESTA sneaker that was released and popularized in the early 2000s. This new preview shows off a patent leather upper complete with a green, red, and yellowish-gold color scheme.
This color palette and vibe most definitely match what fans and sneakerheads first expected from a sneaker collab involving Lil Yachty and Nike. I find this to be THE collaboration for Yachty in the scope of the sneaker world as it shows off his personality in the shoe and kind of comes across as something that maybe he had an interest in creating the entire time. It of course keeps the "Concrete Boys" logo near the back of the sneaker on top of a yellow midsole into a red bottom to complete the shoe.
As there is no official news from Nike and Yachty regarding the release of this version of the sneakers, fans can keep a look out as hopefully, we get a release date slated for 2025.
