As one of the biggest stars in hip hop and in music today, Kendrick Lamar, heads towards one of the biggest weekends and nights of his career on February 9th, he is taking the precautions needed to make sure fans know that his halftime show will be one to watch for sure. Along with ads all over this past weekend's NFL qualifying games for the Super Bowl teams, Lamar started the week off with an ad announcing his former TDE counterpart, SZA, will join him on gracing the field at the big game. She will also be joining him on tour during 2025, so it makes sense that she will make an appearance in New Orleans.

In addition to the Super Bowl announcements, merchandise has officially dropped for the big event, specifically Kendrick Lamar. Lamar will be teaming up with Willy Chavarria, a Mexican-American designer out of Fresno, California, who just returned from a big debut at Paris Fashion Week. Lamar has previously showcased his love for Chavarria's work when he wore some of Chavarria’s designs on his Big Steppers Tour. He also notably wore some pieces throughout the duration of the 2024 hit record 'Not Like Us' music video, which had so many eyes on it looking for easter eggs and what Lamar was wearing, considering it was the final diss track from K Dot in the beef with Drake.

What makes this drop interesting is it is not just an independent collaboration with Lamar and Chavarria, it involves the NFL directly, as they are selling the merchandise on their platforms as well. The collection includes a jacket, t-shirt, shorts, and a jersey, with the main design being 'K. Lamar’ branding with the Super Bowl being highlighted front and center, as well as “Foot Up On The Gas But Somebody Gotta Do It” lyrics from the hit “tv off" from Lamar's November 2024 album, GNX.

The jacket sold out immediately, but fans can still get their hands on the other items in the set, as they are also more affordable for someone who wants to commemorate the huge year that Lamar had in 2024, as well as this year's Super Bowl performance. Proceeds from the collection will be donated to those impacted by the recent Los Angeles fires. For anyone interested, prices range from $55 USD to $750 USD and are available at NFL's shop.
