Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are the two biggest stars on the Kansas City Chiefs roster, and now, they're going into a non-football business venture together. The two will open up a steakhouse together in Kansas City titled 1587 Prime (named after both of their jersey numbers), set to open later this summer.

The restaurant will be located in the Loews Hotel downtown, and, according to Brian Johnson of KMBC9 News, "1587 Prime will feature leather accents, subtle football themes, and an impressive layout with a bar downstairs and the main kitchen and dining area upstairs.

A standout element of the entrance mimics a stadium tunnel, complete with four meat refrigerators allowing guests to choose their steak cuts. While the full menu is still being finalized, it will include high-quality steaks, appetizers, desserts, and a selection of wine.

Prices are expected to be in line with other local high-end steakhouses, with additional premium offerings."

In other words, it sounds like Mahomes and Kelce's next adventure is going to be a good one. That shouldn't surprise anyone, considering who we're talking about and their popularity in Kansas City.

Steakhouse owned by Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce getting closer to opening

Mahomes and Kelce have played together since the quarterback entered the NFL in 2017 as the 10th overall pick of the Chiefs.

While Alex Smith was still the starting quarterback in 2017, when Mahomes took over in 2018, he and Kelce looked as though they had been playing together for years.

When the two brought a Super Bowl to Kansas City (the first in 50 years) during the 2019 season, they cemented their legacies in not just the NFL but in KC as well.

The two will continue to be legends in Kansas City long after their careers are over, and this steakhouse is just another piece of the puzzle.

While it sounds like the steakhouse will be a pricy place to eat, that's the norm with high-end steakhouses. Throw in that this restaurant is literally in Mahomes and Kelce's names, and it'll draw even more people there.

Hey, if the food is good, then it'll be yet another trophy the two can add to their cases.
