Last Sunday, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback and Jordan Brand athlete Jalen Hurts took the field wearing mismatched Air Jordan 11 cleats that broke the NFL’s rule, stating the following; “A player may wear shoes that are black, white, or any Constitutional team color, or any combination of black, white, and a Constitutional team color.” While this rule is in the rulebook and is technically made official, it does seem like something that could be over looked as it is not as big of deal as directly doing something that can influence a players form or way of play.

In response to the violation, the NFL took action by fining Jalen Hurts a total of $5,628. Jordan Brand was quick to respond to the fine by saying the following-- "We’re paying the fine. You can’t ban greatness."

The NFL would even tweet out the stylish choice from Hurts before the game in an ironic post to look back on now, following the fine saying "The return of Jalen two shoes.".

The star quarterback has been a strong representative of Jordan Brand and their sportswear since signing a deal with them in 2023. Since then, Hurts has regularly been spotted on and off the field in Jordan clothing and PE cleats on gamedays. He has sported multiple variations of the classic Jordan sneakers throughout the years as well. This violation would be the first time Hurts has violated the NFL dress code of conduct in his NFL career. The teal and green cleats might go down in history for Hurts as a reminder of what his legacy could become in comparison to Mike himself.
