Banned 1's are arriving in as close of a replica as you can get to the 1985 version--

With the rerelease of one of Jordan Brand and Nike's most infamous sneakers in history coming up on February 14th, the rollout is one of the most interactive we have seen from Jordan Brand in recent memory. We are quickly approaching the drop of the Air Jordan 1 "Bred", a shoe that was once banned as wearable during in-game competition by the NBA for violating their then-uniform policy and fining the then-rookie Micheal Jordan when they were laced up by the greatest of all time.

The re-release of the known sneaker rollout would begin in late 2024 as Fabolous would be spotted courtside at a Knicks game with the 'banned' piece of footwear laced up and on the court. Give fans a brief peek at the pair by censoring the shoes in photos posted online.

This iteration of the newest release of the sneaker since 2016 will fall around the 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend, making the "Bred" 1 one of the most highlighted and anticipated releases for All-Star Weekend, one of the most hyped weekends for footwear of the year for sneakerheads. Jordan Brand has decided to go all out with the promotion of the drop by even deactivating their social media accounts, indicating a "ban", if you will.

The sneaker of course for those who are unaware is a classic, blending the red and black hues together layered on top of a white midsole and all sitting atop a red bottom. Truly a great looking shoe that many should aim to have in their collection as it goes with almost every outfit and graphic tee you can put together, especially if you have ties to a vintage look with an old school t shirt and some distressed denim or faded sweats.

Again the sneaker is set to release on Valentine’s Day, February 14th around NBA All-Star Weekend with a price tag set at $250.
