NFL rookie Jayden Daniels not only has had an insane season, leading the Washington Commanders to the NFL Playoffs in his first season on the team but has done it by handling some intense situations that not many would be able to put together with so little professional experience. Clinching a playoff spot on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons, Daniels is proving to be something else and someone who has a long-lasting place in the league. Of course, we are reporting because not only has he been able to put up these great performances, but he has done it in style.
Jayden Daniels arrived to his premier Sunday Night Football debut rocking some Travis Scott Jumpman Jack's in the 'Mocha' colorway. The sneaker ultimately commands attention (no pun intended) and gives some great style points to him from all of the sneakerheads out there who saw what was on his feet before game time. However, the swag did not stop there for Jayden Daniels’s primetime debut.
Daniels threw for 227 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another 127 yards, becoming the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for at least two touchdowns, throw for at least 200 yards, and run for at least 65 yards in three consecutive games, he did all of this playing in custom Air Jordan 1 cleats in the Travis Scott signature style. The footwear designed for Daniels featured an upper coated in the traditional burgundy to represent the Washington Commanders sitting atop a white sole/spikes- as well as a Travis Scott-like reverse swoosh in yellow, fully showing off that Sunday was drawing inspiration from Scott before and on the field. The sneakers were finished with a yellow "5" on the tongue representing Daniels' jersey number.
There has yet to be an official Travis Scott football cleat released, so one might wonder if this could cause some attention to the idea for both Nike and Scott. I am sure that Jayden Daniels would not be opposed to the idea of being the first athlete in the NFL to get that call and be a part of a brand new style under the Travis Scott and Nike brand. After all, Cactus Jack Cleats seems to have a nice ring to it. This was the first time Daniels would dawn the signature reverse swoosh on his cleats, so it is unlikely the new variation would be for sale in the near future, but athletes and fans alike can only hope. Stay tuned to see what footwear Jayden Daniels pulls out in the NFL Playoffs as the rookie continues a history-making year.
