Devin Booker's Nike Book 1 continues to make waves and draw attention when it comes to new releases and colorways as they roll out each sneaker. As for the most recent sighting of a new colorway, the Suns star guard took to his creativity extremes and showcased a Penny Hardaway-inspired look for the shoe.
Booker would tease the look on his Instagram story ahead of their debut on the court and would draw fans' attention immediately. Of course, Devin Booker's player-exclusive variant of the Nike Book 1 directly pays homage to the Nike Air Penny 5 in the "Phoenix Suns" colorway, complementing Hardaways time with the Phoenix Suns during his career. The hooping shoe features a black and grey upper as well as orange, pink, and purple hits all over the sneaker. Booker would even go as far as to include the vintage "1 Cent" logo on the tongue of one sneaker and the Book logo on the other.
Booker paid his respects with the shoe as well as off the court as he officially signed and sent the pair over to Penny himself stating: "To Penny: Thank you for the inspiration!!"
This variation of the Nike Book 1 is most definitely one of the best pairs previewed by Booker during this run of player exclusives being shown off by Booker. As for the Suns, they are on the verge of not making the playoffs and will need every win possible in order to make something happen for chances at a ring this season.
