While Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns have had a 14 win - 11 loss season so far, Booker has been spotted off the court with Japanese designer and founder of the fashion brand 'fragment' many times over recent months. While there was the possibility of the two being friends and sharing some similarities, fans were hoping there was more to the two linking up and a possible collab would be on the way. As some fans eagerly predicted, it seems the partnership is well underway as Booker took to the court and debuted the first collaboration between 'fragment' and Nike's 'Book 1' sneaker dropping 34 points and a win against the Utah Jazz in the process.
Taking advantage of the recent hype of the collaboration that 'fragment' had with their collection and sneaker with Travis Scott that released in 2021, this shoe certainly is not letting fans down.
Filling the upper with a grey, white, and black snakeskin like upper, the hooper casual staple is joined by a white sole and white laces. A white tongue accessory with the traditional 'Book' branding is seen in black with the 'O's' being transformed by a 'fragment' lightning bolt logo inside of them truly displaying the collaboration. The achilles stripe is white and the heel also has 'fragment' branding. Finally, the sneaker is finished with the trademark swoosh in the classic blue hue provided by 'fragment'.
'fragment' owner, Hiroshi Fujiwara took to his instagram to debut the model on social media earlier this week before Booker would post a closer look on his account including a video of the kicks in action to make the collaboration known to fans that they might be able to get their hands on the pair personally, soon. While the model may be a player exclusive for now like previous Nike Book 1 models and posts on the Nike Basketball social media account, it's fair to think with this much promotion and explicit posting of the shoe on socials by Booker and Fujiwara, fans might be hopeful expect an announcement on an offical release sometime in the future.
