Chicago's own Derrick Rose attended and threw out the first pitch at Thursday's Opening Day game against the Los Angeles Angels, and he made sure to show out as he did it in style. Rose, who retired last year from an NBA competition, is still Chicago’s hometown hero as he continues to show love for the Windy City. Rose, of course, is a long-standing representative for the Adidas brand, being a leading figure for the athletics department of the brand with the three stripes dating back to his first official basketball sneaker, and things are not looking like they are slowing down as far as collabs with Rose and the sneaker conglomerate.
Rose sported an unreleased pair of the famed Fear Of God Athletics II line that Fear Of God has launched with Adidas. Featuring the vintage cream sole that has become known with Fear Of God, the sneaker is layered with a black upper and a neutral tone three stripes design that graces the side of the shoe. A vibrant orange hits on the laces and logo on the heel of the shoe. The unreleased look is completed with the D Rose logo laying on top of the Achilles.
As for official releases, the sneaker is slated to drop by the end of the year, likely in the Quarter 4 season, with a set price of $200. With Rose as an official ambassador of the brand and releasing sneakers from the line under his line as well, it will be interesting to see what other designs come from the minds of Rose as well as those at FOG and Adidas.
